Maggie Cielle-Andrews

October 31, 2009 – October 30, 2017

Maggie’s given birthday was October 31, 2009. She came to us from Clovis, New Mexico through Arizona Border Collie Rescue for which we were drivers. Maggie lost her battle against cancer one day before her eighth birthday, peacefully passing on the morning of October 30, 2017.

During her life Maggie held a position at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital as part of their Therapy Dog program, walked in Pride marches and The Undie Run which benefits Colon Cancer Research. She was ultimately registered as the Service Animal for Robert. A position that she dutifully filled for four years, allowing her to visit even more people in other hospitals, attend the Arizona Opera, performances by the Phoenix Theater and other events. She chose not to attend the concert by Alice Cooper and Deep Purple.

Maggie was also an active participant in our Sleep Over Rover dog sitting business, by keeping order when we had to leave the guest dog alone. Maggie leaves several cousins; Sam, Franklin, Nellie, Andre, Ruby and Sugar and two cats, Petie and Scout for whom Maggie had the utmost fascination, and her two owners Robert and Cynthia. Maggie will be missed terribly.
